For me the course was ideal. Mark is intuitive in pitching the basics in timescales to suit different expectations and experiences. Excellent.

Project-based work takes place in universities, schools, colleges and youth and community centres. Courses and projects for young people frequently take place during holidays and half-term holidays, weekends or are sometimes extended through sessions over an entire term. We primarily work in London but courses and projects have taken place in France, Poland, South Africa, India and Germany.

Mark Aitken worked at Goldsmiths University from 2006-17 on the MA Film Making and BA Media & Communications courses. He also facilitates photography, film making and scriptwriting courses at Central St Martins College of Art & Design on their short course programme.

We also hire temporary premises for short courses to ensure a comfortable and well equipped work environment. Past venues in London include the Electric Cinema, Stockwell Studios and the Hayward Gallery. We've run residential weeks for young people and adults in collaboration with The Arvon Foundation at their creative retreats all over Britain. We've also run residentials with Derbyshire Council in Derby and Skyros Holidays in Greece.

We believe that stimulating environments encourage imagination and creativity. Participants engage with each other and shed their creative inhibitions far quicker when they are away from the normal stress and worries of day to day life.
